FAQ

What if I have people visiting?

Please ensure your visitors do not park in visitors parking from October 26 to 30.

Where can I park when my stall needs to be cleared?

On the day your stall must be cleared, you may park in visitors parking (with a valid special pass – see below) or at the Yorkson Community Park lot. Visitor parking is available only on the day your stall is being cleaned and the night before from 8:00 PM.

When can I use visitors parking with the special pass?

You may park in visitors parking starting the night before after 8:00 PM using the special pass provided by the Office. Visitor parking passes will be available from the Office starting Friday, October 24, and will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis according to available passes. You cannot park in visitors parking starting Sunday, October 26, at 8:00 PM unless you have this special pass. Failure to display the special pass may result in towing at the vehicle owner’s expense.

What if I get a special pass but will not be home all day?

If you will not be home or will not need the parking spot for the entire day, please do not take a special pass. Passes are limited and intended for residents who will be home all day. Be mindful and allow others who will be affected by the work to use the available passes.

Will work actually begin at 5:00 AM?

No. All work will comply with local noise bylaws. However, vehicles must be removed from parking stalls by 5:00 AM on the date specified for your section to allow the project to proceed as scheduled. Failure to do so may result in towing.

I do not want to wake up at 5:00 AM to move my car. What should I do?

You may move your car the night before after 8:00 PM to visitors parking (with a valid special pass) or the Yorkson Community Park lot. The parking gates will remain open overnight for your convenience. Please park at your own risk.

Will everyone be able to park in visitors parking?

No. Visitor parking is limited, and only vehicles with a valid special pass from the Office may use it. Passes are issued on a first-come, first-served basis according to availability, not on who arrives first to the parking lot. We have arranged for the Yorkson Community Park lot to remain open overnight as an alternative. Parking at both locations is at your own risk. A Resident Information Form needs to be filed with the office before a special pass is granted.

Will the visitors parking be cleaned on October 29? How can I park there if my stall is also being cleaned?

Work in visitors parking originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, will now take place on Thursday, October 30. No vehicles are permitted to park in visitors parking after 7:00 AM on Thursday, October 30.

If my car is towed, how will I know where it is?

Vehicles that are towed will be taken to Clover Towing, located at 5340 192 St., Surrey, BC V3S 8E5.

Will I be charged for towing?

Yes. If your car is towed to Clover Towing, you will be responsible for all towing and storage fees.

Why is this work necessary?

This work is required as part of our ongoing lawsuit regarding the parkade and is not routine maintenance.

Can I get a special visitor pass if I have not completed the Resident Information Form?

No. Only residents who have completed and returned the current Resident Information Form, including their vehicle details, will be eligible to obtain a special visitor pass.

Can I park in the loading or fire zones?

Residents are not permitted to park in any loading or fire zones. Vehicles parked in moving truck areas may be towed.

Will the garbage and recycling room be open during maintenance?

No. The garbage and recycling room will be closed from 9:00 a.m. on October 26 until 4:00 p.m. on October 27 for maintenance. During this time, the bins will be temporarily located beside the clubhouse in their usual area. Please plan ahead.
